Based on similar award programmes in Australia and the United Kingdom the Pride of New Zealand Awards are designed to recognise the individuals who make extraordinary personal sacrifices for the benefit of their community.
The award categories have been adapted to suit New Zealand; there are six awards and the TSB Bank People’s Choice Award which is voted for by the public in August.Read more

The national award ceremony, held at the Auckland Museum on Wednesday, September 16 was a fantastic night – the efforts of 24 incredible finalists were celebrated, and the winners in six categories announced. The TSB Bank People’s Choice Award went to the incredibly deserving Ryan and Keri Topperwien from Whakatane, who started the Dream Chaser foundation in memory of their son Chace. They were gifted $10,000 by TSB Bank to go towards their cause.Read more
